Local Author Wins Prestigious National Book Awards

Walnut Creek, CA––Elise Cooke, author of two books on creative frugality, community gardening instructor and regular contributor to Bay Area publications is an Award-Winner in the Home: Green Living category of the National Best Books 2009 Awards, sponsored by USA Book News. She’s also a Finalist in the Home: Gardening category. Both awards are for her book The Grocery Garden, How Busy People Can Grow Cheap Food.
